Looters mow down police officer in Wembley

Three men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

A police officer was mowed down by looters who tried to fleece an electrical store in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).

The officer was run over by the thugs in Fulton Road, Wembley, as they sped away from Comet in nearby Engineers Way at 2.50am.

The violent mob tried to break into the shop but were unsuccessful.The officer was taken to a north London hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

A second officer also suffered a minor injury.

Three people were later stopped by police and arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
