London Fire Brigade was this week investigating the cause of a blaze which needed 60 firefighters in Kilburn High Road.
Two people were rescued from the building, which comprises of a shop with flats above, and treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation at the scene.
The fire happened near the road’s junction with Willesden Lane and Quex Road at about 5.15pm last Tuesday, and caused significant traffic disruption.
The 60 firefighters arrived in eight fire engines, from stations including Paddington, West Hampstead and North Kensington.
A section of the basement and the first floor was damaged in the incident. It took two hours and 15 minutes for the crews to bring it under control.
