The funeral of former Brent mayor Lesley Jones will take place on Tuesday with all friends, former colleagues and well-wishers welcome.
Lesley had represented her constituents in Willesden Green for 20 years and died on April 30, three days before she was set to stand in the local elections.
She was made an MBE in 2015 for her services to local government and lived in Dollis Hill. She had four children, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her family have said her funeral will take place at the West London Crematorium at 2.15pm and is open to all.
They have also asked that rather than floral tributes, donations be made to Lesley’s charity of choice, Brent Young Carers.
