The MP for Brent Central, Dawn Butler, visited an art studio which works with young people with learning disabilities in Wembley as part of its open day.
Labour MP, Ms Butler, who is also shadow minister for women and equalities, visited the charity on Thursday March 29.
ActionSpace supports the development of artists with learning disabilities, and creates projects for them to engage with the visual arts.
It launched in the 1960s and has studios across London.
Ms Butler spent time at the Brent studio on Harrow Road, Wembley, talking with artists and their parents. She also quizzed volunteers about their work with the charity.
Dawn Butler said: “I was delighted to visit ActionSpace for their open day and I thank them for their warm welcome. We have such talented artists in Brent and they do such great work there, and I commend the hard work of all the volunteers who make it possible. I encourage everyone to check them out and get involved.”
