Our prayer walk and the distribution of church tracts “The Battle Is the Lord’s” has had a profound effect on Harlesden High Street, writes Veronica Henry-Darius, Servant of God, Restoration Revival Fellowship, Church Road, Harlesden

In just three and a half months, the environment has changed.

If it were possible to take the temperature in Harlesden, I would say: “It has decreased and she is in recovery.” Prayer really works.

Credit is also due to the police who carried out “Operation Hope 2” who did not allow those carrying out affrays to chivvy them into riots in Harlesden.

I met one young man, a notorious gangster, and asked him: “Who do you want to arrest you? Jesus or the police?”

He looked at me, amazed, and said: “What do you mean?”

It is a reflection of our society when young people are no longer aware that one day they will have to give an account for the lives that they live and the choices they have made.
