Leocardo Loney, who went missing from Wembley more than two months ago, has been found dead.
The 83-year-old, who suffered from dementia, was found in Hillingdon on October 14, police confirmed.
Mr Loney went missing from Willow House Retirement Home, in Victoria Court, on August 3.
He was seen on a route 182 bus travelling from the Wembley area towards Brent Cross on August 22. Two unconfirmed sightings were reported in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, on September 9, and again on September 28.
His distraught family are aware of his death. His daughter Marie previously told the Brent & Kilburn Times: “We’re in distress. We’re trying to keep some sort of normality so we don’t fall in a heap.”
A police spokesman said: “The cause of death remains unexplained. Hillingdon Police enquiries are ongoing.”
