The leader of Brent Council has fought off a bid to topple him from his position.
Cllr Muhammed Butt won a leadership challenged trigged by his then deputy Cllr Michael Pavey by just four votes at Brent Labour Party’s AGM on Saturday.
Cllr Margaret McLennan was voted in as the new deputy leader.
She formerly held the position of the council’s lead member for housing and development.
The borough’s reshuffled cabinet has yet to be revealed.
