London Labour Party drove into Brent in a golden battle bus to launch its campaign for the General Election.

The new bus rolled into the Elders Voice car park in Mortimer Road, Kensal Green, with Sadiq Khan, Shadow Minister for London, Rachel Reeves, Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, and Brent Central Labour Candidate, Dawn Butler, aboard.

The day care centre for the elderly was chosen because it lies right on the border of two of the most tightly contested constituencies in London - Brent Central and Hampstead and Kilburn, where Tulip Siddiq is candidate.

Sadiq Khan MP said: “Tulip and Dawn are two fantastic local candidates who are spending every day speaking with voters about the issues that matter to them.”

He added: “London holds the keys to Downing Street. Our battle bus will be making its way round the capital every day, visiting key battleground seats with candidates and campaigners helping us secure a new generation of Labour MPs after May 7.”
