The Fernandes Clan participated in event by Catholic Agency for Overseas Development

A Kingsbury family geared up to join more than 200 people for a charity cycle ride in Hertfordshire.

‘The Fernandes Clan,’ of Kingsmead Avenue, made up of Ronald, Daljit and James Fernandes took part in CAFOD’S (Catholic Agency for Overseas Development) annual Pedal Against Poverty event which

raises cash for the charity’s global poverty-fighting work.

Ronald, Daljit and James pedalled a scenic 10 mile return route along the River Lee between Cheshunt and Broxbourne.

Last year’s ride raised £7636, enough to teach more than 300 farmers in the developing world essential techniques for nurturing crops and livestock to support their families.
