Students at a Kilburn music school are learning from new wave greats – by supporting rock band Blondie on tour.
Vic Jamieson, Jack Haigh, Max Mella and Jay Lewis are the backing band for Glaswegian lead singer Lexy in the up and coming group Lexy and the Kill.
The four students at the Institute of Contemporary Performance in Dyne Road, have been playing along with Blondie on UK dates, including in Newcastle on Thursday.
Blondie, led by singer Debbie Harry, gave the group a shot on dates including Liverpool, Carlisle, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Lexy and the Kill has already supported Paloma Faith and We Are Scientists and are hoping for further success after being named the band of the day on The Guardian’s website.
