Camden and Brent council officers came together to help tidy up Kilburn High Road in a joint event at the well-known fly-tipping hotspot last week.
The border between Camden and Brent has sometimes been difficult to keep clean on both sides at the same time because of the two boroughs’ different cleaning schedules.
Between them, they issued 36 enforcement notices for a range of waste-related issues to businesses and the public.
Cllr Adam Harrison, Camden’s environment chief, said: “Joint working between boroughs is essential to clamping down on individuals and businesses that abuse the public space by not disposing of rubbish and recyclable material properly. This is especially true along the Kilburn High Road where councillors and residents have pointed out a variety of issues to me this year.”
Enforcement officers from both councils also offered people and businesses advice on rubbish and recycling.
