Kilburn councillor Mike Katz will not be standing in next year’s council elections after being deselected by ward members.
The sitting Labour councillor wasn’t picked by colleagues at a selection meeting in Conway House, Quex Road, last Wednesday.
The other two sitting councillors, Thomas Gardiner and Maryam Eslamdoust, were reselected following a vote, with journalist Douglas Beattie chosen to be the ward’s third candidate.
Cllr Katz was elected to the ward in 2010.
The councillor tweeted his thanks to “everyone for their kind words & supportive messages over past few days”.
