Claremont High School bucks the national trend
A head teacher from a Kenton school has paid tribute to his pupils this morning for bucking the national trend and achieving a near 100 per cent pass rate.
Pupils from Claremont High School, in Claremont venue, were celebrating this morning as they achieved outstanding results.
The schools overall pass rate was 99.6 per cent while 86 per cent of pupils achieved A*s to Cs across the board.
Terry Molloy, head teacher, said: “We are extremely pleased with our results, our pupils and staff have worked incredibly hard to produce some of the best results the school has ever achieved.”
Several pupils gained some fantastic results including hard workers, Izzah Elahi, Sriluxmi Srimurugananthan and Amar Thanki who all achieved A*s and As across the board.
Mr Molloy added: “This is especially pleasing as nationally it is clearly getting tougher for pupils and schools to get top results”
