A section of Kenton Road will be closed for 16 hours from Christmas Eve to allow emergency work to take place.
A dangerous structure over the Bakerloo and Overground lines at Kenton Station will be removed and replaced with a new footbridge.
An emergency traffic order will allow the closure to take place from 11pm on Saturday until 5pm on Christmas day.
A 350 foot crane will be placed on the road bridge and traffic will be diverted during the works.
