A two-year-old boy is fighting for his life after he was hit by a car in Kenton.
The tot’s 59-year-old grandfather was also injured after they were struck by a red Ford Focus as they walked in Kenton Road, at the junction of Claremont Avenue, on Friday at 7.40pm.
The pair were taken to an east London hospital where the boy is in a critical condition and his grandfather is being treated for non life-threatening injuries.
The 22-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has been bailed to return to a police station in October.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to call the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Alperton on 0208 991 9555 or 101.
