Kensal Green’s Mayhew animal charity is hosting a month’s worth of fundraising throughout May to help it continue its work for abandoned, neglected and vulnerable animals.

There are a number of different ways you can get involved in the aptly named “Month of Mayhew”, from hosting a cake sale, running a marathon or even hosting an animal dress up day at work or school.

Anyone interested in taking part can sign up on the Mayhew website for a free fundraising pack. It includes fundraising tips, banners, balloons, flags and most importantly a collection box.

On May 13 you can support the charity at its annual open day. You’ll have the chance to attend a street party, get behind-the-scenes access to the cattery, receive a tour of the veterinary clinic and even meet some of Mayhew’s “TheraPaws” dogs.
