Kensal Green animal charity makes speedy Santa appeal
The Mayhew animal home needs runners to take part in sponsored 5k race
A Kensal Green charity is looking for kind-hearted runners to put their best foot forward for their cause next month.
The Mayhew Animal Home in Trenmar Avenue, needs volunteers who will raise funds for them by taking part in a sponsored Santa run.
The annual event, which takes place in Greenwich Park on December 9, gives participants the option of doing a 5km walk, jog or run.
Those who fancy a greater challenge can take part in a 10k run.
Jolly Santa outfits, complete with beards, are provided on the day to help get the hundreds of charity runners into the festive spirit.
Runners are welcome to bring their dogs with them and as they won’t be provided with a Santas outfit the Mayhew will dress them in a charity coats on the day.
