The 5K Fun Run/Walk organised by the Josh Hanson Trust, is taking place at the Barnet Playing Fields in Barnet Lane on June 25 at 1pm.

The charity was set up by Tracey Hanson in memory of her son Josh, who was 21-years-old when he was fatally stabbed in an unprovoked knife attack to his neck.

She continues to fight for justice as the man wanted in connection with the murder remains at large.

Ms Hanson said: “Our hard work is relentless, and it will continue to be as knife crime has risen over the past two years, and shows no signs of a decline.

“We held our first registered charity fundraiser, a 5k Fun Run on March 4 last year, which was a great success.

“Our aim is to help those affected by finding positive solutions, and to help protect our future generations.”
