A community garden in Harlesden is celebrating its first green-fingered season by holding a party for all.

The aptly named ‘party in the pocket park ’fun day out will take place at Harlesden Town Garden in Challenge Close, on June 18 from noon until 5pm.

The event aims to bring the community together and thank everyone who has made the community asset in the heart of Harlesden a great success including Friends of Harlesden Town Garden, Crisis Brent (Formally LIFT People), Green Club members, park volunteers, raised bed allotment users and local residents.

The party will be opened by Dawn Butler, the Labour MP for Brent Central, and includes music by local acoustic artists, basketball coaching workshops by Brent MIND, football coaching workshops by QPR, a pop-up market and many other activities and facilities.
