Record GCSE results arrived at Willesden’s Capital City Academy today as students received scores of top grades.
Alex Thomas, principal of the school in Doyle Gardens, said: “Building on our excellent A-level results, it is pleasing to report a rise in the percentage getting five or more good passes to 74 per cent.
“The rate including English and mathematics also rose five per cent with many students getting a large number of top grades.
“Particular praise goes to Peter Bachelor who received eight A* and two A grades.”
High achievers included Peter Batchelor (eight A*s and two As); Vishal Gajipra (five A*s and four As); Jacob Coventry-Peters (four A*s, three As and three Bs); Amber-Chelsea Barr (three A*s, two As and five Bs); Jade Theodoro (three A*s, four As and six Bs); Amal El-briri (two A*s, four As and three Bs); Jack Galvin (two A*s, seven As and one B) and Faustino Mccalla St Luce (six As, two Bs and one C).
