KONG Hei Fatt Choi! That's 'Congratulations and be prosperous!' in Cantonese for those celebrating the Chinese New Year.
Hundreds of visitors lined the streets of Chinatown in Soho, to usher in the Year of the Tiger last weekend, with a traditional lion dance in Gerrard Street, drawing excited cheers from the crowds.
The festivities continue next Sunday with a parade, live music, dance and acrobatic performances in Trafalgar Square, special food stalls, decorations and lion dance displays in Chinatown, and firecrackers and fireworks closing the celebrations in Leicester Square.
