A huge fire destroyed two wooden sheds in Wembley in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The brigade was called to reports of a blaze at the back of homes in Derek Avenue at 5.30am, by which point the flames could be seen from far and wide.

The fire, which also damaged another shed, was brought under control by 7.20am by crews from Wembley, Park Royal and Willesden.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
