HSBC is to close its branches in Willesden and Harlesden.

The bank has cited a downturn in customers using the branches for the closures which will take place on April 22.

A spokesman told the Times the bank will be working with customers to ensure they are aware of other options that are available.

He added: “We never take the decision to close a branch lightly, and we understand it’s unsettling for the local community.

“Unfortunately, with an increase in the use of online and telephone banking over the past few years use of the Harlesden and Willesden Green branches have fallen significantly, and we’ve taken the difficult decision to close them.”
