A minute silence fell over Barham Park in honour of Remembrance Sunday.
Crowds joined dignitaries, veterans and cadets in Queen Elizabeth Gardens to remember all those who have died, been wounded or are fighting wars.
Revd Graham Noyce, led the service after the Regent Brass Band led a parade of Army, Navy and Air force cadets, St John’s Ambulance, Scouts and Beavers to the memorial site.
A poem and readings were recited before the trumpeter sounded the Last Post and the call to silence and reflection.
Mai Sim Lai, the Deputy Lieutenant of Brent, Cllr Parvez Ahmed, the mayor and Dev Limbu of the British Gurkha Nepalese Association were among the dignitaries to lay wreaths.
