Have you got a broken teddy bear?
If so IKEA may be able to fix it during a special clinic which aims to raise money to help children across the world access education.
A pair of ‘Teddy Bear Doctors’ will be visiting the store in Wembley on October 31 where they will be on hand to cure the worst injuries.
Julie and Amanda will use their skills to administer some much needed TLC, saving those broken, worn and torn teddies who have had their stuffing knocked-out.
Every family that has one of their teddies treated is being asked to purchase a soft toy starting from £1 to contribute towards IKEA’s soft toys campaign.
Running since 2003 the campaign has raised more than €57million to help more than ten million children living in poverty across the globe get access to an education.
Carol McSeveney, from IKEA, said: “It’s clear that we are a nation of big kids who love our soft-toys, taking them everywhere we go, with over half of us still clinging on to them well into adulthood. This lasting tenderness for our soft toys has left many of them tattered and in need of an overhaul – which is why we have bought in the Teddy Bear Doctors.
“By fixing their own furry friends, customers can help us to continue to support Save the Children and UNICEF through our Soft Toys for Education campaign.”
