Irish storytelling workshops and exhibitions in schools and libraries are part of a series of events to mark Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month.
Brent Council's eighth annual celebration was officially launched on June 4 with a special event at the Centre for Staff Development in Neasden, featuring a professional belly dancer, and performances from Irish traveller pupils.
Irish storytelling, special assemblies, exhibitions and music, art and dance workshops are taking place in primary and secondary schools throughout the month as part of the national celebrations.
Exhibitions are being held at Brent Town Hall and the Centre for Staff Development in Brentfield Road, from June 2 to 20.
Over 150 pupils from traveller and gypsy backgrounds attend Brent schools.
