Residents are being warned that Northwick Park Hospital A&E is ‘very busy’ this afternoon.
The casualty unit in Watford Road, Sudbury, has been struggling to meet waiting target times since the closure of the A&E department in Central Middlesex Hospital, last September.
London North West Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWH), which manages NWP and Ealing Hospital, were named the fifth worst trust in the country for A&E waiting time target failures in the first week of 2015.
In a tweet sent from the trust’s official Twitter account @LNWH_NHS this afternoon it advises residents to visit their GP or call the NHS 111 hotline before visiting the ‘very busy’ A&E unit.
