People are invited to Gladstone Park to run or walk while raising awareness of mental health – and boosting their own mood.
Running club Queen’s Park Harriers is hosting its first #runandtalk event on Saturday morning to support fellow runners and those new to exercise.
People can jog or walk the 5km route ahead of the weekly Gladstone Parkrun.
Anastasia Chew, who joined the Harriers in 2017 following the birth of her second child, said: “We’re trying to raise awareness of how running can help your mental health. The Queen Park Harriers will be there to support people who are new to exercise and walk with them if they want to walk.”
The campaign is being held in partnership with Mind, the mental health charity, to coincide with Mental Health Day on Wednesday.
Meet at the junction of Anson Road and Park Avenue North near the south east of the park at 8.45am. More information: email anastasiachew@doctors.net.uk.
