A recruitment drive held in Neasden to encourage more Asian residents to join the blood stem register signed-up 59 potential donors.
The event at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Brentfield Road, on Saturday, was held on behalf of Delete Blood Cancer UK which is looking for a donor for Dushyant Metha.
The 10-year-old schoolboy, from north west London, has been diagnosed with Dyskeratosis Congenita (DC) and needs a stem cell donation to survive.
