Colleagues of an X Factor hopeful from Harlesden said his musical talent proved a hit with residents at the care home he worked at.
Singer John Adeleye, who has become one of the favourites to win this season’s contest after being tipped by his mentor Judge Louis Walsh as the dark horse of the competition, lives in Harlesden and works at the Forrester Court dementia care home in Cirencester Street, Westminster.
His colleagues told the Times that Mr Adeleye’s musical talent brightened up life at the home.
Forrester Court, Cirencester St, Westminster, a Care UK organisation.
Care UK’s Regional Director Mike Smith said: “John’s speciality as a Care UK activity co-ordinator was clearly anything musical and lots of our residents really loved the activities that he led.
“He was always careful to sing and play music that our residents would know and enjoy and it wasn’t unusual to see them up on their feet and dancing or joining in with his singing.”
Sheila Roberts, Forrester Court worker, described Mr Adeyele as ‘lovely’ and said that the whole care home was throwing their support behind his bid for stardom.
Mr Adeyele blew the judges away becoming a top favourite in the final 12 last weekend with his performance of ‘One Sweet Day.’
