Young people worried about the housing crisis in Brent are invited to put their questions to a radio panel show.

Beat 103.6 FM, based in Harlesden, is inviting questions from listeners aged 30 and under during its Time To Talk programme tomorrow from 7.30pm-9pm.

Housing experts due to take part include Atara Fridler, director of Crisis Skylight Bren, Jacky Peacock director of Advice4Renters and Laurence Coaker, head of housing Needs at Brent Council.

They will discuss affordability and homelessness in Brent as well as debate the impact of the introduction of Homelessness Reduction Act that will come into force this April.

Cllr Harbi Farah, cabinet member for housing and welfare reform, said: “This debate affects the hidden homeless in our borough: young people who are sofa surfing or living with family because they can’t afford to move out. It’s vital that we discuss the housing crisis and look at what we can do to help.”
