A dedicated worker has been awarded a lifetime’s supply of biscuits for clocking up 50 years of employment at the McVitie’s factory in Harlesden.
Frank Ahluwalia celebrated his milestone anniversary of working at the plant in Waxlow Road where he is the head of hygiene control.
He has become the first employee to be given a membership for the McVitie’s Golden Biscuit Club where the benefits include the endless supply of treats.
The devoted worker was also given a special gold coin from pladis which owns the iconic biscuit and confectionery brand.
Mr Ahluwalia said: “I’m thrilled to be celebrating 50 years at the McVitie’s factory with so many of my colleagues.
“It’s a great honour to be the first employee in the McVitie’s Golden Biscuit Club and I would like to thank pladis for this honour.”
The site in Harlesden is the largest biscuit factory in Europe and produces more than 2.7 million packets of biscuits a year.
