A kind-hearted runner from Harlesden has raised thousands of pounds for a children’s charity by taking part in the Brighton Half Marathon on Sunday.
Quentin Heal took completed the 13.1 mile run in support of Thai Children’s Trust - a year after taking up running for the first time.
So far he has raised £3,250 for the charity which provides a safe home and an education to 4,000 children across Thailand with HIV/Aids, children with disabilities, children at risk and refugee children.
The 42-year-old said: “This is the first race I have competed in. Before doing the Brighton Half Marathon I wasn’t a runner. I began running a year ago and worked up to training four times a week.
“I decided to do the race as I am keen to raise awareness of Thai Children’s Trust. One of my close friends is very involved with the charity and I am very impressed with the work it carries out. It has helped and is continuing to help many children in tough situations across Thailand.”
