Hampstead School in Kilburn celebrating their best ever GCSE results
Number of pupils achieving five A*-C grades has surged to 83 per cent
A Kilburn secondary school are celebrating their best ever GCSE results for the fourth successive year.
The number of pupils achieving five A*-C grades has increased to 83 per cent at Hampstead School in Westbere Road, whilst 66 per cent achieved five or more good GCSEs including English and mathematics.
The figures, which came through this morning, have broken previous records set in 2009, 2010 and last year.
With more results expected today Jacques Szemalikowski, school headteacher, is hoping their record-breaking achievements continue.
She said: “These are great results and I am so pleased for the students that achieved them and our staff that made it happen.
“In today’s tough climate these results mean so to young people much in terms of prospects and progression opportunities.

Last year the school received a national accolade for being one of the most improved in the country over three years.
