QPR defender Grant Hall says the players owe supporters a derby performance to savour against Fulham, after a miserable extended run of results against their west London neighbours.

Rangers have lost seven out of their last eight encounters against the Cottagers, most recently losing 4-0 and 3-1 respectively in their clashes last season.

And Hall admits it is time to end that record and give the Rs fans something to cheer about after a indifferent start to the campaign.

He told the Times: “We remember what happened when we played Fulham last season and it wasn’t acceptable – we were poor in both games.

“We want to put that right for the fans, we know how much it means to them especially, so we need to make sure we go there and put on a good show for them and hopefully get all three points.

“Fulham obviously had a big defeat at home last time out, but we won’t be reading too much into that. Form is irrespective for me heading into a derby – it’s anyone’s game.

“If you’re not at the races in this league you’re going to get beat – it’s as simple as that.

“They’ll be confident considering their recent record against us, but so are we.

“We need the bragging rights this time, our recent record in London derbies has been poor and that needs to change.

“It’s been frustrating for the fans. We’ve been hurting as much as them.

“We need them as a 12th man and hopefully we can get a win before we head into the international break.

“There’s a long way to go this season and we’re all confident of pushing on and doing well.”
