Alperton Community School (ACS) enjoyed another set of superb GCSE results with students achieving 14 grade 9 qualifications.

21% of students achieved a grade between 9-7 in English and there was also success in maths where 22% gained the highest grades of 9-7.

The Grade 9 results out ACS in the top 3% of results in the country. Students achieved six Grade 9 results in English and 8 Grade 9 results in maths, whilst two students achieved A* Distinction in the challenging additional maths GCSE.

Humza Ahmadi was delighted when he found out he had received the prestigious 9 in his English and maths exams. “I am so pleased with my results. It has been hard work and the teachers have helped me so much. I am one step closer to achieving my aspirations.”

Adbirahman Hassan has made exceptional progress since arriving at the school. He achieved a grade 9 in English, a grade 8 in maths as well as 4A* grades and 3A grades. He says he cannot wait to start sixth form and begin his A-level studies.

In total, students at Alperton community school achieved almost 400 A or A* grades at GCSE.

Headteacher Gerard McKenna, said: “Once again, our students have performed exceptionally well at GCSE. I believe we achieved excellent outcomes because we aspire to provide every student with an outstanding education within a supportive, vibrant and stimulating learning environment.

“We have established a strong track record of enabling every student to reach their full academic and personal potential. I am sure that our results will improve again next year when our new school will open and the students will have even better facilities and resources.”
