A sport centre is offering a series of free lifesaving courses to residents in Brent.

The five courses on offer

• How to Save a Baby’s Life

• How to Save a Child’s Life

• How to Save an Adult’s Life

• Life Support Workshops

• Drowning Prevention Workshop

The workshops start at Vale Farm Sports Centre in Watford Road, Sudbury, from April 24 and will run until August.

All the courses are run by qualified lifesaving trainer assessors affiliated to the Royal Life Saving Society and will teach people vital safety skills.

They all include the chance to participate in certificated CPR and First Aid courses (a small charge will apply).

There are 24 places available on each of the five courses on offer on a first come, first served basis.

Chris Williams, manager of Vale Farm which is run in a partnership between Brent Council and Everyone Active, said: “We are delighted to be offering these free lifesaving courses.

“Our instructors are passionate about passing on their lifesaving knowledge, and Everyone Active are committed to giving back to the local community and offering a range of activities at the centre.”
