A free and fully immersive 18 metre high Christmas attraction has launched in Wembley Park with the leader of Brent Council the first to whizz down it.
Cllr Muhammed Butt climbed to the top of The Slideatron, in the Wembley Boulevard, on Wednesday night, for the thrill slide ride.
Made from scaffolding and disguised in LED lights the structure is a modern take on the traditional Christmas tree which includes a nine metre high and 20m long slide.
Every hour on the on-the-hour between 4-9pm, Slideatron will go into ‘rave mode’, coming to life with different light shows set to a remixed Christmas classic soundtrack.
Visitors can also visit the Slideatron Festive Street Food Market or relax under a heated canopy at the Slideatron Bar.
Tickets to enter Slideatron are FREE and can be booked in advance at www.slideatron.co.uk.
Under 9’s must be accompanied by an adult to go on the slide.
Ends January 2
