Fire crews tackle blaze at former social club in Harlesden

More than 70 firefighters were rushed to Harlesden this morning after a huge fire broke out in a disused social club.
Ten fire engines from Park Royal and surrounding stations were called to the scene in Craven Park Road, Harlesden after the blaze broke out on the top floor of the former club building shortly before 6:18 am.
Firefighters spent two hours tackling the blaze which damaged most of the roof and part of the first floor of the building.
Surrounding roads were diverted before the fire was contained at 8:15am.
TfL Traffic News tweeted around 8.15am: “A404 Craven Park Road / Manor Park Road - remains closed while due to building fire. Emergency services are on-scene. Expect delays.”
Traffic is returning to normal and London Fire Brigade are investigating the cause of the fire.
