An illegal street trader from Willesden Green who was caught red-handed selling perfumes in Brent 16 times could be thrown in jail if he is found doing so again.
Paul Hunter, of Dean Road, ignored multiple warnings for trading without a licence since he was first caught in 2013.
Last week, the 59-year-old pleaded guilty to six offences of illegal trading and was served with a Criminal Behaviour Order which bans him from doing any unlawful street trading in Brent.
He has also been ordered to pay more than £2,300 in fines and costs.
Brent Magistrate’s Court heard the cheeky seller would buy cheap scents from local shops and repackage them as gifts priced around £15 each.
Cllr Tom Miller, Brent Council’s cabinet member for stronger communities, said: “This prosecution shows that Brent Council are taking a zero-tolerance approach to illegal traders.”
