Heroic neighbours rescued a family after their home was set a blaze in a suspected fire-bomb attack in Stonebridge yesterday morning.
The three adults and four children were left trapped in the house in Beames Road, after a fire broke out in the hallway around 6.40am.
It is believed the fire was started deliberately by a suspect who was seen throwing something through the property’s letterbox.
The family called 999 and were given survival advice over the phone while awaiting fire crews to arrive at the scene.
However, three heroic neighbours broke into the back of the house and rescued the family before fire-fighters arrived.
One family member escaped by jumping through a first floor window,
A total of 11 people were treated for smoke inhalation.
London Fire Brigade have praised the efforts of the neighbours who rescued the family, but they are urging people not to put themselves at risk.
Brent Police confirmed an investigation into the fire had been launched.
