The draw for the third round of the FA Cup has been made

Queens Park Rangers have been drawn at home to League One side MK Dons in the third round of the FA Cup.

The draw for the competition was conducted on Monday night, with clubs from the Premier League and Championship entering.

It will be the first meeting between the sides since March 2016 when QPR lost 2-0 away to the Dons in the Championship.

The sides have twice met previously in the FA Cup at Loftus Road, with the Rs winning 1-0 in the third round in January 2012, before losing 4-2 in the fourth round the following year.

Third round ties are due to take place over the weekend of January 6, with matches selected for television coverage to be announced in due course.

Winners of ties in the third round will receive £67,500 in prize money, as well as a spot in the fourth round of the competition, which takes place later in January.
