Shoppers and residents shown how to make meals out of leftovers
A television chef dished out food saving advice at a special event for shoppers and residents yesterday (Wednesday).
Richard Fox showed people how to cook delicious meals from leftovers at the Love Food Hate Waste roadshow which took place in Central Square, Wembley.
The culinary connoisseur showed how to turn food that is usually thrown away into different tasty dishes which are cheap and simple to make.
He also did a live cookery demonstration, a question-and-answer session on cooking, recipes and food and a cookery competition to make the best flat bread.
A giant stilt-walking chef who goes by the name ‘Tall Order’ also entertained the crowd at the event organised by the Love Food Hate Waste campaign.
Visitors were given free spaghetti measurers and recipe cards at an information stall.
The event, supported by Brent Council, encourages people to embrace more environmentally sustainable lifestyles by cutting down on food waste.
