All three Labour MPs in Brent have held on to their seats with landslide victories.
Dawn Butler MP for Brent Central won with 38,208, compared to 29,216 in the last general election in 2015.
Her Conservative opponent Rahoul Bhansali came second with 10,211 votes.
In Brent North Barry Gardiner triumphed once again with 35,496 votes compared to 28,351 two years ago.
Ameet Jogia, his Conservative rival took 18,435 votes.
In her acceptance speech at Brent Civic Centre in the early hours of this morning she dedicated her win “to my friend Jo Cox” and the recent victims of terror attacks saying she hopes “that we will have an eternity of peaceful days”.
Barry Gardiner said: “I ran an honest campaign. We did that in Brent North and we did that nationally.”
He accused the Prime Minister Theresa May of “arrogance” and “taking the country for granted, adding that the Conservative’s manifesto was “light on details” which “where it provided any clarity it actually smacked the people of this country”.
He compared it to the Labour manifesto which was “honest and straightforward”.
Mr Jogia said he was proud of his campaign while Paul Lorber, who came third for the Liberal Democrats with 1,614 votes said: “I thank all of the people in Brent for taking part in this election and all of my team.”
Labour also remained on top in Kilburn with Tulip Siddiq remaining the MP for Hampstead and Kilburn after sweeping to victory with 34,464 votes, compared to Conservative candidate Claire-Louise Leyland’s 18,904 votes.
