Agency worker at Newman Catholic School allegedly assaulted a student
An investigation was launched last week after an incident took place between a pupil and supply teacher who has now been fired.
The incident happened at Newman Catholic School, in Harlesden Road, Harlesden, on July 3.
The Times was made aware that the supply teacher’s contract had been terminated after a concerned parent contacted the Times.
According to the parent, the teacher is alleged to have hit a child.
But when headteacher, Richard Kolka, was asked to clarify what happened, he released a statement which read: “I can confirm that an incident took place between a supply teacher at our school and a Year 9 student.
“The incident was fully investigated and dealt with to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
“The assignment of the teacher at the school has now been terminated by mutual agreement.”
