JFS are celebrating a three per cent surge in top GCSE results -achieving an overall pass rate of 99.9 per cent.
Almost 50 per cent of pupils at the school, in The Mall, Kenton, who took academic qualification secured an A* or A grade, three per cent up from last year’s figure.
Overall, 82 per cent of students achieved five or more A*-C grades including English and Maths.
Jonathan Mille, headteacher, said, “Our students, once again, have set the highest of benchmarks with these excellent results which are testament to their hard work and that of their teachers.”
One mother, Claudia Moss, jumped for joy after finding out her son, Joseph, 16, gained 12 A* grades in maths, english literature and language, chemistry, biology, physics, history, Spanish, French, astronomy, Jewish studies, and classic civilisation.
A week earlier, she was celebrating the achievements of her 18 year-old daughter, Rebecca, who achieved two A*s and an A in her A-levels.
Ms Moss said: “I am extremely proud of my children on what they have accomplished.”
Joseph said: “I feel very pleased. I was hoping to do well bit I did not expect a full house.
“I am very thankful to my teachers and my amazing parents.”
Yuval Mordoch, 16, came back from a six weeks holiday to Israel the day before to collect the all important brown envelope containing her results. She gained nine A*s and two As and a C.
She said: “I feel great and extremely relieved. I was so nervous before so my friends had to calm me down. It is good to see hard work pay off.”
Other high-achievers include Rachel Rabin, Zachary Bevan, Charlotte Getz-Brezinski (11A*s), and Eytan Merkier who gained 44 A* between them.
Mr Millie continued: ““We are delighted that so many of our students supported by their families have achieved and surpassed their potential, enabling them to proceed to the next stage of their education with confidence.”
