Pupils grilled a council chief during a special ‘Question Time’ session held at their primary school in Wembley.

The youngsters from Chalkhill Primary School in Barnhill Road, where given the opportunity to raise any concerns they had within the community with Cllr Muhammed Butt, leader of Brent Council.

They may be young but the questions Cllr Butt was made to answer were very mature and useful for the council.

They were concerned about how the council is supporting homeless families, the affordability of housing for them as the future generations.

Cllr Butt was impressed with the amount of interest the students had in relation to the community.

He said: “We hope they will continue to engage with and be community champions in the future.

“By doing these allowing students to ask questions it is allowing the council to enable the children to grow into potential future supporters of the community.”
