A group of drummers visited and children enjoyed a sing-song at the official opening of a primary school’s extension.
Barham Primary in Danethorpe Road, Wembley, has been expanded from a three to four-form entry school and the extended building now has a new library and ICT suite, and a larger school hall.
Cllr Kana Naheerathan, Brent’s Deputy Mayor, shared the stage with Munira Mirza, London’s Deputy Mayor for Education and Culture, while the Barham choir performed alongside a group of Dhol drummers.
Cllr Naheerathan said: “I was really pleased to be able to represent Brent Council at the official opening of this school extension. I would like to thank staff and students at Barham Primary School for making me feel so welcome and I wish them continued academic success in the new and improved building.”
