Almost two thirds of pupils in Brent received their first choice of secondary school on Monday evening, according to council figures.
Out of the 3,334 applications received by Brent Council’s school admissions team, 2,144 children (64.31 per cent) were offered a place at their first choice.
This is an increase of 73 on last year’s figures but the number of children receiving their first choice dropped by 0.69 per cent due to an increase of applications by 142.
