A secondary school in Harlesden is celebrating after being awarded with a prestigious accolade for its quality of teaching.
The Convent of Jesus and Mary Language College in Crownhill Road, has been recognised as a Centre of Excellence following an assessment by the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM).
The IQM promotes equal opportunities for all pupils, whatever their age, gender, ethnicity, attainment and background.
It also champions for the availability of extra provisions for pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Geraldine Freear, headteacher, said the accolade was one of many awarded to the school and is testament to the hard work of staff and pupils.
